How do you clean a sticking type bar

When you are typing and you have a sticky type bar what do you do.

Please do not use oil or a spray can (WD40) this will only cause more problems in the future. Any oil in the segment will set and become sticky in the future.

Engineers will remove the type bar from the segment and clean the oil or grease out. But this is not very easy for the amateur. You can use methylated spirit or and alcohol that will help loosen the obstruction, But be careful, please blow out with an airline as soon as it is done. You can buy air in an aerosol if you do not have an airline.
